  3. -Screensaver Name: DeepLife

  5. -Screensaver API: Direct3D for DirectX6

  7. -Screensaver Description: DeepLife is a real-time 3D viewer for L-Systems, or 
  8. Lindenmayer systems, which are compact sets of rules that can describe complex 
  9. 3D geometry.  For example, a text file that is only a couple hundred bytes in 
  10. size can produce an intricate structure on the order of hundreds of thousands 
  11. of polygons!  DeepLife renders and animates L-Systems in real-time, producing 
  12. models that can mimic nature, including trees, plants, and microscopic sea-life.  
  13. Those who are brave can edit the L-Systems included with DeepLife, and create 
  14. their own forms of life!

  16. -List Of Known Bugs: LS files that describe enormously large geometry will 
  17. hang the system.  Be careful when designing your own L-Systems!
